Keep On Going

I met Glenn roadside in Wallsburg, Utah. He invited me into his home, which is heated by two wood burning stoves. Every year Glenn chops the wood that will feed those stoves. A few years ago, a tree nearly took him out. Cracked his head, shattered his left arm. But he's still going. The bolts and screws that now comprise his arm don't work quite like the original, but they do the job. "What d'ya do?" Glenn said. "You keep on going, 'cause as soon as you stop you're done." About the time I was leaving he was aching to get outside and replace the chain on his tractor. It was 10°.
